Liberia experienced two separate vehicle fire incidents in Margibi and River Gee counties on Saturday. While a funeral home vehicle was destroyed by fire in Kakata after its engine ignited, a passenger vehicle in River Gee reportedly burst into flames following an accident, leaving several people feared dead and reigniting concerns over road safety.

Residents of Stockton Creek clashed with Liberian police on Saturday during a court-ordered eviction of nearly 88 acres of land. Police used tear gas to disperse crowds, while residents resisted by throwing stones, forcing officers to retreat and regroup. More than 15 people were reportedly injured or arrested as tensions over the disputed land escalated.
